News fixIQ 7.0 - English-language version fixIQ released the English language version of fixIQ 7.0 on April 1st 2008. Packed with new features, fixIQ 7.0 includes a release of the major upgrade to fixIQ Warehouse, as well as upgrades for fixIQ Remote Desktop and a new version of fixIQ Patch Management. fixIQ customers can use fixIQ Warehouse to track and maintain all maintenance and repair orders, keep records of users and create accounting units, and manage additional information aimed at optimizing IT resources. fixIQ Patch Management offers customers the ability to create and manage distributed repositories. This tool simplifies the deployment of security updates across the organization, allowing IT managers to choose the option that best suits their network environment. New feature release – Software Deployment fixIQ is releasing fixIQ Software Deployment in July 2008. This new feature will allow customers to install and uninstall software remotely from fixIQ administration console. Customers will be able to create templates in order to classify software by type, by department, or by any other criteria that is appropriate for the organizational scheme. Thus, IT managers will be able to verify that machines comply with software requirements, be it by installing software on those machines lacking it or uninstalling it from those machines lacking authorization to run it. This feature is complementary to fixIQ Software Management, which allows customers to track and maintain software licenses.
